The Incomplete Guide to American English is
a publication of the Holy Grail Press. Established in 1982, the Holy Grail Press has been successfully publishing nothing for over 35 years.
2019, Holy Grail Press, Portland, Oregon.
Michael Soetaert graduated from the University of Missouri
in 1984 with a degree in 17th Century British Literature. In 1989, he received his Teaching Certification
from Missouri State University, and in 2001 he received his Masters in Educational Administration, also from Missouri State.
He spent 20 years in the Missouri Public School System, two of which were as a Secondary Principal, and he has taught for
17 years (and counting) at Ozarks Technical Community College.
His writing credits include selling a copy of “The Green and Hairy Toad” to a kid on the bus
in 1969, writing a weekly page for the Crane Chronicle in the mid ‘90s, co-writing Missouri governor Mel Carnahan’s
1996 State of the State Address, publishing several poems throughout the United States (some of which actually won awards),
and publishing 30 plays (and counting) that have
been produced across the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, and the UK.
Everything here and at the Sister site is the sole creation of Michael Soetaert, though none of the others are willing to admit it. But that’s
just an argument that spirals into schizophrenia.
