Played on February 2, 2016.  15 holes.

The Tualatin Community Center is a nice little urban course that is part of the Boones Ferry Community Church.  And if you’re lucky, Pastor Rick will be there to stick his head out the door and tell you where the next hole is if you get confused, but the course really isn’t that confusing.  First, there are maps near the first tee box (which is on the parking lot near the front door of the church).  And, even better, the baskets are colour coded, which is particularly helpful because some of the holes share the same basket, and several of the baskets are close to each other.

The course offers some variety, but not much.  There are some trees to throw around and in-between, some change in elevation, and a mix of short holes and long holes, and that’s good.  But many of the fairways cross other fairways, and some of the shots are over such “obstacles” as the parking lot and a community garden.  One of the shots even uses the church as an obstacle.  So, pretty much, if anybody else were on the course for any reason, then watch out.

All told, I’d play this course again if I were in the neighborhood, but I wouldn’t go out of the way to play it.
