Played on March 16, 2016.  15 holes… if that.

The Minet Disc Golf Course is part of the Riverview Park in Independence, Oregon.  And they’re not kidding.  The first hole is right beside the boat ramp into the river, and water comes into play on almost every shot.  Even if the course weren’t flooded – and it was – there would still be a lot of water.  Several of the shots are really close to the Willamette River, and if you shank a shot into those waves, you ain’t getting’ it back.

Like Dallas City Park, if this course were played in the heat of the summer, it would probably be a pretty good course.  You might even be able to find all the baskets then.  There seems to be a variety of shots, but even so, water is still the main hazard.  However, this park should probably be avoided any other time of the year than summer, especially if you don’t have a lot of old discs to spare.  And if my Valkyrie washes ashore on a beach somewhere and you happen to find it… you can keep it.

Location:  The first hole is right at the corner of C Street and Main.
